Terms of use
Last updated 31 October 2026.
These terms are an agreement between you and Bright EduVentures Private Limited, India, which makes Comitiva through its studio BrightMade (“we”). By using Comitiva you agree to them. Questions: contact@brightmade.in.
The service
Comitiva helps groups plan trips: itineraries, bookings, shared expenses, settling up, places nearby, live location, check-ins and SOS. It is a private beta: features may change, and we may pause or end the beta. It is free during the beta.
Your account
You must be 18 or older. Sign in with your own Google account, keep it secure, and use a name your trip mates will recognise. Access is by invitation, creator link or approval; invitations and creator links are personal to the people they’re meant for. We may decline requests or close accounts that break these terms.
Money
Comitiva never holds, sends or receives money. Balances are calculations from what members enter. A settlement counts only after the person receiving it confirms it. Payments happen in your own UPI or bank app, between you and the other person, and we are not a party to them. Check amounts before you pay; we are not responsible for payments made to the wrong person or for the wrong amount.
Bookings, places and AI suggestions
Bookings you add are your notes; Comitiva doesn’t make or cancel bookings. Places, ratings, reviews, opening hours and routes come from Google Maps and can be wrong or out of date. Ask Comitiva suggestions and scanned bill or ticket details are produced by AI: always check them before you rely on or save them.
Safety features
SOS, check-ins, live location and phone alerts help your group look out for each other. They depend on phones, batteries, signal, settings and other people noticing. They do not contact emergency services, and alerts can be delayed or not arrive. In an emergency, call 112 (in India) or the local emergency number. The “what’s open around me” count is not a safety rating.
What you share
You’re responsible for what you add to a trip and must have the right to share it, including other people’s details and photos. Don’t use Comitiva to break the law, harass anyone, track someone without their knowledge, or try to access trips you’re not a member of. You keep ownership of your content and let us store and show it to your trip’s members to run the service.
Creators
If you share a creator link, you agree to say clearly that it’s an invitation to Comitiva and to follow the advertising rules that apply to you (including ASCI guidelines in India). Seats on a link are limited and may be paused.
Liability
We work hard to keep Comitiva reliable, but it is provided “as is” during the beta. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect losses, for losses from payments between users, or for decisions made on information from third parties or AI. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under Indian consumer law.
Privacy
How we handle personal data is explained in our privacy policy.
Changes and law
We may update these terms; if a change matters, we’ll tell you in the app or by email before it applies. These terms are governed by the laws of India. Write to us first so we can try to fix any problem; otherwise the courts of India have jurisdiction.
